Main parameters for de-escalation zone discussed with Syria

 "The process of creating this zone continues. The main parameters have already been discussed. The details are now being resolved, relating to how it will operate specifically to ensure that the ceasefire regime between government troops and the armed opposition is respected in order to ensure unhindered humanitarian access,” Lavrov said in a press conference with his Sierra Leonean counterpart in Moscow.

Lavrov also affirmed that the US presence on Syrian soil has no legal basis, pointing out that the United States is trying to cover up this.

He added that Russia doesn’t hide its two bases in Syria, adding that they are created and operate on the basis of intergovernmental agreements, and their task is to assist in the fight against terrorists.
