No Hiatus in Iran’s Military Progress

Speaking at a cultural ceremony in Iran’s southwestern city of Ahvaz on Tuesday, Head of the IRGC Public Relations Department General Ramezan Sharif said the IRGC has made great headways in various fields over the past twenty years, stressing that the country’s power will develop increasingly.

Any decline in Iran’s military power is a big mistake, the general added, saying the enemies would have attacked Iran if the country had not built up its military capabilities.

While the IRGC does not favor a war, it is fully prepared to defend Iran against any assault, he underlined.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has on several occasions cautioned the adversaries that Iran’s response to any assault will not be confined to defense alone, but aggressors will face a crushing response.

In May 2015, Imam Khamenei made it clear that the Iranian nation will not let any possible act of aggression against the country go unanswered.

"The era of hit and run has ended” and the Iranian nation will chase aggressors, the Leader said at the time.
