Trump's remarks insulting to 5+1, other countries

TEHRAN (defapress) – The Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei said Trump’s recent anti-Iran comments is an insult to other countries, particularly the 5+1 world powers who are the partners of the deal.

Trump's remarks insulting to 5+1, other countriesRezaei made the remarks in a meeting Sunday, with Michael Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg, Germany’s ambassador to Iran where the two sides discussed the important regional issues and the relationships between Iran and EU and Germany.

Referring to Trump’s aggressive and anti-Iran comments, Rezaei stated Trump’s positions have turned into an international problem which will definitely create trouble for Europe. He has dragged governmental conflicts to controversial issues between the nations. None of the previous US presidents had referred to Persian Gulf as "Arabian Gulf". Persian Gulf is a national treasure and all parties, whether opposition or not, hold it dear in their hearts.

The Secretary of Expediency Council also discussed Iran and Germany relations stating that Iran and Germany enjoy a history of special and positive relationship which has been mutually beneficial. "We expect Germany to increase its economic cooperation with Iran in banking and industrial areas.” He added

Germany’s envoy showed gratitude for Rezaei’s views and said "there are some who spread anti-Iran propaganda for American officials, they have done the same with Trump; you could say Trump is sold.”

Michael Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg added that it is unlikely that Trumps understands the distinction between the Shias and Takfiri terrorists. He further said that Germany is ready to organize meetings in Europe in order to create a better understanding of Iran’s efforts to fight terrorism among.

Regarding economic relations, the German official promised improvements in economic ties.
