N-deal to end if US Congress follows Trump

 In response to EU’s decision to deploy Federica Mogherini to Washington to address the sharp disagreement between European powers and U.S. President Donald Trump over the Iran nuclear accord, Head of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Mogherini is flying to the American capital in order to convince the Congress not to top up Trump’s mistake.

"The US president, who made a big mistake once he raised the issue of tearing the deal, finally put the Congress in charge of making the final decision,” underlined the official asserting "accordingly, the JCPOA will be violated in case the Congress implements views held by Trump.”

The senior Iranian MP went on to reiterate that the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini, is making efforts so that the US will remain committed to its obligations towards the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
