Saudi Airstrikes Kill Civilians in Yemen's Jawf Province

TEHRAN (defapress) – Eleven civilians, including women and children have been killed when Saudi warplanes carried out airstrikes against residential areas across the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf.

Saudi Airstrikes Kill Civilians in Yemen's Jawf ProvinceEight children and three women were killed when Saudi warplanes attacked al-Hijah region at Al Maslub District in the Jawf governorate on Sunday afternoon, the Arabic-language al-Masirah television network reported.

Meantime, a Yemeni civilian was killed and six others were wounded in Saudi airstrikes on Sunday which hit Hamadan district of capital, Sana’a six times, an official told Yemen’s Saba News Agency.

The strikes hit Bait Na'am area in the district, killed a Yemeni civilian, injured six others and destroyed several residential buildings.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two and half years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
