Syrian Army on Verge of Laying Siege on Terrorists' Stronghold in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (defapress)- The Syrian Army troops managed to advance against terrorists in Eastern Ghouta and captured a key hill in the region, inching closer to lay siege on a main bastion of militants on Tuesday.

Syrian Army on Verge of Laying Siege on Terrorists' Stronghold in Eastern DamascusThe army men stormed the positions of Jeish al-Islam in Harazma region and seized back Tal (hill) Harazma.

The army men further cut off the supply line of terrorists in the town of al-Nashabiyeh and captured several positions in the gardens of al-Nashabiyeh.

In the meantime, a field source pointed to the army's advances in the town of Harazma that is connected to al-Nashabiyeh from its Northern direction, adding that the army soldiers are planning to separate the town from other regions under the control of militants.

The army has laid siege on al-Nashabiyeh from its Southern and Eastern directions.

Relevant reports said on Monday that the army soldiers stormed terrorists' positions and advanced in the depth of Basatin al-Nashabiyeh, capturing the strategic Farzat hill.

In the meantime, other army units, operating in Harazma settlement, managed to advance against terrorists and cut off the road connecting the towns of al-Nashabiyeh and Douma.

Harazma is connected to al-Nashabiyeh from its Northeastern direction.

Also, the army's artillery units and aircraft pounded the defense lines of Jeish al-Islam in al-Nashabiyeh and near Douma, Hamouriyeh and Otaya regions in Eastern Ghouta.
