Saudi Coalition Jets Target Civilian Areas in Yemen’s TaizThe coalition fighter jets targeted Tashrifat in Salh district in Taiz and another district in the city, local officials told Saba News Agency.

In retaliation, the artillery unit of the Yemen army and Popular Committees on Thursday shelled Saudi-paid mercenaries’ gatherings and their military vehicles west of Moazea junction in Taiz, a military official said on Friday.

Dozens of the Saudi mercenaries were killed and injured as a result of the Yemeni forces’ artillery shelling, the official said.

He added that the army and Popular Committees also shelled the fortifications of Saudi-paid mercenaries in Han Mountain and Rosi hill in Dhabab district, inflicting casualties upon them.

Furthermore, the Yemeni forces’ artillery unit targeted gatherings and military vehicles of Saudi mercenaries north of Khaled camp in the region.

In another development, the sniper unit of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees on Thursday shot dead two Saudi-paid mercenaries at Buhra Mountain in the northeastern Serwah district of Marib province.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for about three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
