Putin Offers Condolences to Rouhani over Plane Crash in Iran

TEHRAN (defapress)- Russia’s President Vladimir Putin send a telegram to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani offering condolences over deaths of passengers and crew of the plane, which crashed on Sunday in Iran’s Isfahan, the Kremlin’s press service said on Sunday.

Authorities lost track of a passenger plane with over 60 people on board on Sunday as it traveled from the capital to Yasouj, authorities said, suggesting that the aircraft has crashed in Central Iran and all passengers have been killed.

The ATR plane belonging to Aseman airline company was en route from Mehrabad international airport in Tehran to Yasouj, the center of Kohgilouyeh and Boyer Ahmad province in Western Iran, at 7:55 local time on Sunday morning and it disappeared from the radar of air traffic controllers 50 minutes later, Tabatabayee, the head of Aseman's public relations department, told FNA.
