Hezbollah Foiling US-Israeli Plots against Lebanon

Washington is trying to force Lebanon into accepting its pro-Tel Aviv policies, but Hezbollah is an obstacle to the US and Israel, Sheikh Qassem said, according to the Arabic-language El-Nashra news website.

“The US has spared no efforts to make acts of aggression against us, accuse and impose sanctions against us in different ways,” he said.

“Washington is belligerent toward us because we say no to its attempts to Israelize Lebanon and we are opposed to plans following the suit of Washington…,” the Hezbollah official added.

 He further called on the Lebanese people to massively participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, due to be held on May 6.

Last month, Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Lebanese voters should not cast their ballots in favor of those who would hand over the country to the US, compromise over oil reserves with the Israeli regime, conspire against Hezbollah or destroy the country’s economy.
