Jeish Al-Islam Terrorist Group Threatens Syrian Defense MinistryJeish al-Islam's Spokesman Ma'an Aloush, who resides in Riyadh, was quoted by the Arabic-language al-Hadath news website on Wednesday as claiming that the group has 15,000 forces in Douma and will not retreat from the region.

He added that Jeish al-Islam has dug tunnels leading to al-Mazeh-Damascus highway and will attack the Syrian army forces who have laid siege on the group with the help of 5,000 of its members, bluffing that 5,000 other members of the group will head to Damascus to occupy the defense ministry, the air force command center and the intelligence department.

"We will also target the presidential palace with anti-tank TOW missiles," Aloush claimed in a desperate call as his group has been losing grounds and losing hundreds of militants each day.

Military experts believe that the remarks by the terrorist leader seem to be more like a dream stated to boost the morale of his comrades as they do not correspond to the realities on the ground.

His remarks came as the Syrian army gained control over more regions during the military operations in the Southern part of Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, trying to drive a wedge between the terrorist bastions in the region.

The Syrian army forces engaged in clashes with the terrorists in the depth of Eastern Ghouta on Tuesday, and retook control of several regions during the march in Wadi Ein Tarma.

A field source said that the Syrian army units are advancing in Wadi Ein Tarma in several fronts, adding that the army has won back control of half of the region. Also, other Syrian army soldiers are advancing towards the town of Ein Tarma.

Syrian army initiated a fresh phase of operations in South of Eastern Ghouta.
