Zarif says US sells its foreign policy to any pressure group spends more money

Tehran (Defapress) – “As Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said before, Pompeo’s comments were so hit-and-miss and far from civility and logic that not even worth being answered,” Mr. Zarif said on Wednesday.

“Mike Pompeo and the other US officials are not only trapped in old illusions but also jailed in the past and even worse are taken hostage by corrupt pressure groups whose scandals are being heard by the world public opinion day by day,” he added.

“It indicates bankruptcy of US foreign policy that is not independent and being sold to any pressure group that spends more money,” Mr. Zarif went on to say.

“Pompeo's comments were at odds with reality and based on the old defeated policies. None of them were new but uttered with utmost impudence,” he stated.
