People in the town of al-Bab in Eastern Aleppo engaged again in fierce clashes with a terrorist group affiliated to the Ankara-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) on Sunday, imposing heavy casualties on both sides.

In the meantime, field sources reported that the reason behind the fresh clashes has not been specified so far.

The last case of infighting between al-Bab residents and Ankara forces broke out 20 days ago.

On Wednesday, Mahmoud Othman, one of the commanders of the Turkey-backed al-Ra'ei Police, was killed in a fresh round of clashes among the Ankara-backed militants in al-Bab region in Northern Aleppo.

Gunmen of al-Montaser Bellah Brigade, affiliated to the FSA, engaged in heavy fighting with members of the Turkey-backed Free Police in the main bazaar in the town of al-Ra'ei in al-Bab region in Northern Aleppo, leaving Mahmoud Othman dead and eight more militants injured.
