Official Hails Iran's Scientific, Technological Progresses

The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran made the remarks on Monday on the sidelines of his visit to the 11th international Nano exhibition in Tehran where some 570 domestic and foreign companies are showcasing their achievements and accomplishments.

"The exhibition is unique in its kind in the Middle East region and is source of pride for all Iranians," Salehi said adding that if Iran overhauled its economic situation, all can witness a massive development in all fields.

The official underlined that Iran is now on the zenith of scientific and industrial developments.

Organized by the INIC, the 11th International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition opened on October 13, 2018 at Tehran International Exhibition Center and the event will come to an end on Tuesday October 16.

The nanotechnology growth indicators for Iran have marked a high rise during the recent years as in the total number of the scientific publications, the country has just jumped up two ranks (at the beginning of 2012) to stand 10th in the world. Iran ranked 14th in the same list in the beginning of 2011.

In the past couple of decades, Iranian scientists and researchers have made great progress in all fields of science and new technologies, including nanotechnology, while under pressure of US sanctions and foreign imposed limitations.
