Popular Uprising against Turkish Troops Reported in Northern Syria's Al-Bab

TEHRAN (defapress)- A large number of People in the town of al-Bab in Northeastern Aleppo poured into the streets, calling for expulsion of Turkish army men and their allied militants, a Kurdish news website reported.

Popular Uprising against Turkish Troops Reported in Northern Syria's Al-BabThe Kurdish-language Hawar news reported that a large number of civilians in al-Bab region in Northeastern Aleppo took to the streets and demonstrated against the Turkish military and the Ankara-backed militants, calling for their expulsion from the occupied Northern Syria.

It further quoted local sources in al-Bab as reporting that Ankara forces occupied Kurdish people's lands in the villages of Sheikh Jarah, Balikh, Ka'eibah, Sosanbat, Sadoud, Borj, Kalbin and Na'aman.

The Turkish army units and their allied militants have kidnapped hundreds of people and have forced hundreds more to leave their residential unis since occupation of Northern Syria almost 7 months ago.

Hawar news reported on Sunday that more than 2,350 civilians were arrested by the Turkish troops since they occupied Afrin region over 7 months ago, adding that the fate of a sum of 835 arrested civilians, including 139 women, was unknown.

Hawar news further said that the Turkish soldiers and their allied militants cut over 9,000 olive trees and set ablaze to over 5,000 hectares of forests, adding that Afrin's historical artifacts and sites were plundered by the Ankara forces since occupation 7 months ago.

It went on to say that the Turkish units destroyed tens of power transmission masts in main and subsidiary streets between Mobata and Shih regions and stole power transmission cables in the last two days.
