"The conference coincided with the start of sanctions and therefore, we have tried to hold it at the highest level because one of the US goals of imposing economic sanctions is isolating Iran politically," Abdollahi told reporters in a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday to elaborate on the details of the conference due to be held on November 26-30.
"Participation of 30 countries from countries on 4 continents in the conference is a demonstration of the failure of the US policies to isolate Iran politically," he added.
The 13th edition of Asia Pacific Regional Conference will be held for the first time in Tehran in cooperation with Iran's Chamber of Cooperatives.
The last round of the event was organized in India, where Iran was given the honor to host the next meeting.
30 countries as well as 250 managers are planned to attend the event.
The US Treasury Department announced all sanctions on Iran lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal would be back in force on November 5.
According to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the sweeping sanctions would see 700 people blacklisted, including people who were granted relief under the 2015 deal, as well as over 300 new names.
The Trump administration earlier agreed to allow eight countries to continue purchasing Iran’s crude oil after Washington’s sanctions on Tehran took place.
