Palestinian Nation to Foil US ‘Deal of Century’ Plot

In a speech via video-conference at the 2018 edition of the International Islamic Unity Conference, the world’s baggiest gathering of Islamic scholars, in Tehran on Saturday, Haniyeh said the issue of Palestine is currently at a critical stage because of the Zionist regime’s plot to consign the issue into oblivion.  

He further emphasized that any plan to normalize relations with Israel is condemned, adding that any move to normalize ties with the occupying Zionist regime in economic, political, and cultural areas should be regarded as a crime.

The Hamas leader went on to say that the Palestinian nation will foil the conspiracy of “the deal of century”.

Egypt has reportedly prevented the Hamas leader from traveling to Iran to participate in the the 32nd edition of the conference, which started in Tehran on Saturday with representatives from 100 countries in attendance.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the international event, being held under the motto of “Quds, the Axis of Unity”.

About 350 foreign guests, including 10 ministers and 40 Muftis, have participated in the gathering, which will end Monday.

The conference is held annually on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide appropriate solutions for their problems.
