No oil exports from Persian Gulf if Iranian sales blocked“The United States should know that we are selling oil and we will sell our oil and it cannot block Iran’s oil export,” he said on Tuesday addressing the people of Shahroud in Semnan province broadcast live on state TV.

The United States and the Israeli regime cannot stand the idea of a powerful and dignified Iran, and the Iranian nation will not bow to them, Rouhani highlighted, adding, “the United States failed in launching a coup in our country. They were after separating Khuzestan province, imposing sanctions against the country, and undermining Iran’s power, but they failed. It should be studied why the US is angry with Iran and Iranians.”

President Rouhani described as unprecedented the Iranian nation’s victories against the US in the past 40 years, stressing that the country would develop its relations with neighboring and Islamic countries and the world despite US undermining measures.

"The United States said it would cut off Iran’s oil export and business relations, making Iran isolated, but it could not do so and it won’t be able to sever our relations with the regional countries," Rouhani stressed.

"Our enemies are not able to defeat Iran. We will continue to strengthen our relations with the world despite the US wish. We will expand our trade with the world despite the US wish," the President promised.

The United States unilaterally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May 2018, despite Iran's full commitment to the deal, as reaffirmed repeatedly by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Accordingly, the United States imposed unjust and unlawful sanctions against Iran, which had been lifted under the sanctions, targeting the country's oil and banking sectors.

Soon after the reimposition of sanctions on Iranian oil export in early November, the United States was forced to issue waivers to a number of countries to continue buying Iranian oil, including China, South Korea and India.

Meanwhile, other signatories of JCPOA, as well as the EU, have promised Iran an alternative trade mechanism that would bypass the US sanctions and facilitate trade with the Islamic Republic.
