Atoui Saad reiterated that negotiations should be held on the major grounds of cooperation.
She expressed interest in taking advantage of digital and electronic versions of other national libraries namely those of National Library of Iran.
She referred to exchange of important collections which are in relation to Lebanon and the Islamic World as the most important grounds of cooperation.
She added that Iran and Lebanon will also be able to have cooperation in directory of books and research.
Both countries will be able to have cooperation for promoting human resources, restoration of books and manuscripts, Atoui Saad said.
Pointing to the existence of about 300,000 editions including books, newspapers, journals and maps in Lebanese National Library, she extended readiness for ceding showcase to Iran to display Iranian works.
Two weeks earlier, Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mohammad Jalal Firouznia, in a meeting with Lebanese Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian discussed ways to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.
Firouznia and Guidanian, during the Friday meeting in Beirut voiced their respective countries’ determination to promote economic cooperation, specially in the area of tourism.
Iran’s envoy congratulated Guidanian’s appointment as the country’s tourism minister.
