Ground Force Commander: No Danger Threatening Iran"With God's help, no danger is threatening our country's security, but the Army forces, including the Ground Force, are in their ultimate level of preparedness," General Heidari told reporters on the sidelines of the Army Day parades in Tehran on Thursday.

He referred to the new military achievement displayed during the parades, saying, "Another part of these achievements will be unveiled in the next few days."

The annual parades marking the Army Day were staged in Tehran and other cities on Thursday morning.

Various units of the Islamic Republic Army participated in the nationwide parades.

In Tehran, the ceremony took place at the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the Late Imam Khomeini, South of the capital.

Different units of Iran's Army forces marched in uniform before top commanders in a show of military might and defensive power.

The ceremony was participated by President Hassan Rouhani, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri and other high-ranking military and government officials as well as foreign diplomats, military attaches and reporters.

Foreign delegates as well as military and civilian officials were also present in the ceremony. Ranking commanders of the Armed Forces also took part in the ceremony.

The latest military and defense achievements made by Iranian experts have been put on display at the parades.

Also reports said from Southern and Northern waters of Iran that the Navy's warships, frigates and destroyers have paraded in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman on the occasion of the Army Day.

The Iranian Armed Forces have recently test-fired different types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes and tested a large number of home-made weapons, tools and equipment, including submarines, military ships, artillery, choppers, aircrafts, UAVs and air defense and electronic systems, during massive military drills.

Defense analysts and military observers say that Iran's wargames and its advancements in weapons production have proved as a deterrent factor.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.

The country has repeatedly made it clear that its military might is merely based on the state's defense doctrine of deterrence and that it poses no threat to other countries.
