Palestinian Groups Reiterate Opposition to Any Talks with IsraelThe national and Islamic groups in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in the occupied West Bank said they are opposed to any attempt or suggestion to return to direct or indirect bilateral negotiations with the Zionist regime of Israel, the Arabic-language Palestine al-Yawm reported.

These groups called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) to implement the decisions of the Palestinian Legislative Council and the Palestinian Central Council (PCC) and to reject any political process in light of the Zionist policies.

The Islamic groups also called on the PA to refer national issues to the United Nations and make efforts to draw international support for the Palestinian people until the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

In July 2018, Fatah Central Committee (FCC), chaired by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said it “reasserts the Palestinian position rejecting any political deal, whether it was called deal of the century or the Gaza deal.”

The so-called deal of the century was proposed by US President Donald Trump as part of plans to resolve decades of conflict between Palestine and the Israeli regime.
