Iran’s Foreign Ministry Examines Plans for Coronavirus BattleAs part of the efforts and measures by the Foreign Ministry, a meeting was held on Saturday to mitigate the problems posed by the coronavirus outbreak through international interactions.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Gholam-Reza Ansari and attended by the director generals of various departments of the Ministry in charge of bilateral and international issues, according to the Foreign Ministry’s official website.

In the gathering, the participants explored ways to expedite the process of attracting the medical facilities of other countries and international organizations, and also discussed the problems in cross-border travels with the neighbors.

Another issue discussed in the meeting was the problems faced by Iranian expatriates and students in foreign countries, resolving which is going to be seriously pursued by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassies.

The number of coronavirus patients in Iran rose to 12,729 on Saturday, and the death toll reached 611.

A total of 4,339 patients infected with COVID-19 have recovered from the disease and hve been discharged from the hospital.
