Presence of Foreigners Not Helpful to Region"We believe that the Zionist regime gaining a foothold in the Persian Gulf region will have no result other than sowing sedition and creating insecurity," Brigadier General Tangsiri said on Friday in a meeting with the Commander of Oman’s Navy, Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Bin Mohsin Al-Rahbi.

Tehran believes that the presence of foreign forces will not help regional security, but rather will foment insecurity, he stressed.

"We believe that countries of the Persian Gulf region have the required capacity and capability to preserve the security of this sensible region," the Iranian commander added.

Pointing to the strong support of Iran for all oppressed nations across the world, especially for Palestinians, he dubbed the Zionist regime as "number one enemy of Muslims".

The regime was established based on oppression and aggression and has not spared any oppression to secure its existence, he stated, noting that the regime will perish just as all sorts of oppression have the same destiny.

For his part, the Omani commander said that foreigners only consider their own interests by being present in the region.

The security of the region, he maintained, is provided by regional countries in the first place.

Also on Tuesday, Iranian Defense Minister issued similar warnings, and stressed that the Tel Aviv regime’s presence in the Persian Gulf fruits nothing, but insecurity in the region.

"The Zionist regime seeks to legitimize itself by sowing divisions among regional countries," Ashtiani stated in a meeting with the Omani commander.

The comments come days after reports suggested that the US and Israel plan to build a security alliance with some regional Arab states that would connect their air defense systems to allegedly fight off what they call "threat from Iran".

Iranian officials have repeatedly underlined the necessity for the settlement of the crises and problems in the region through collective cooperation among the regional states, and underscored that the presence of foreigners is harmful.

Tehran urged the neighboring countries to be extremely vigilant about any US-Israeli plan that clearly aims to disturb the stability and order of the region.

Iran says Israel is the primary source of instability in West Asia and the United States remains responsible for the instability in the region as long as its wrong and crisis-making policies are not rectified.
