These additions, which aim to enhance naval combat capability, demonstrate technical capability, develop weapons designs appropriate to threats, expand innovation in the field of design, increase the depth of strategic penetration, and provide wider access to international waters, will strengthen the operational capacity and naval presence of the Army Navy in distant waters.

The Sahand destroyer, the third Moj-class vessel, unexpectedly suffered an accident and sank at the Bandar Abbas dock on July 6, 2024, creating a wave of concern among public opinion and sailors; However, the sailors of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy managed to bring the destroyer back to the surface of the water after 14 days of non-stop technical and rescue operations.

This event came to fruition in a situation where many domestic and foreign experts did not believe that Sahand would have a chance to revive it, but with the efforts and determination of the Iran's Army Navy, this important event, which can be considered a first-of-its-kind and unique in the world, was completed, and we will once again witness the powerful presence of Sahand in the seas.
