TEHRAN (Defapress) – "The water situation for Palestinians in Gaza was bad before the war and is catastrophic right now in 3 aspects: availability of water, quantity of water, and quality of the water", UNRWA's director of planning.
Sam Rose, director of planning of UNRWA added that humans minimum need 15 liters per person. However, what is provided for Palestinians is approximately 7 to 8 liters.
He continued that problems are on the way to supplying water. Fuel pours into the wale of water. Demolishing desalination plants, massive damage to water sanitation infrastructure for the past ten months, partial supply from Israeli waterlines, and inability to bring chemicals to purify the water are on the list of worst water conditions of Gazans.
Rose said that the Zionist pressure to escalate the middle of Gaza which is not prepared to service that amount of people, makes it harder to reach the water.
It seems that the Zionist regime is using the thirst crisis among hunger and malnutrition crises as a weapon of war.
