Major General Salami:
We hit 12 Israeli ships in return for hitting 14 ships of us

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, Major General Hussein Salami, this morning (Saturday) in the President's meeting with the commanders of the Khatam Al-Anbiya Construction Camp, referring to the problems that were during the outbreak of the Coronavirus and its simultaneous increase in sanctions, stated: we have gone through a difficult time;  there were the sanctions and the problems of Coronavirus, and on the other hand, Trump was the president of the United States, who was as bad as that virus.

We hit 12 Israeli ships in return for hitting 14 ships of us

Salami added: At that time, 14 of our ships were attacked in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea so that our oil would not be exported. In the beginning, we did not realize who was targeting our ships because they did this very mysteriously and vaguely but after a time, we realized that the Zionist regime was behind them. Accordingly, we hit 12 of their ships. When we hit the fifth ship, they raised their hands and said that we would stop the battle of the ships.

Explaining the hostile actions of the enemies to prevent the export of our country's oil, he said: "The British seized our oil tanker in Gibraltar, and we, in turn, seized the British ship "Stena Impero", which they were forced to surrender and exchange. They had seized two of our ships in Greece, and we in turn seized two of their ships, so they surrounded. We also managed to shoot down an advanced American drone".

Recalling the story of the theft of Iranian oil by the United States and the close confrontation between the warships of the two countries, which led to the surrender and return of the American cruisers, Salami added: "When these events happened, in terms of implementation, the embargo was broken."

Major General Salami recalled: Two ships from Iran were bound for Venezuela when the Americans announced that they would seize these two ships. On the other hand, in front of the eyes of the Americans, we simulated the seizure of American oil tankers, and when the Americans found out about this, our ships continued on their way with complete secure.

The Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC clarified that we managed to close all the hostile routes that the enemy had opened against us, and based on this, today the safest shipping lanes in all seas belong to Iran, and the ships that the Iranian flag raised on them.
