Putin:
We have to help Syrians make progress in political process
TEHRAN (defapress) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that it is very important to help the Syrians make advance in the political process to solve the crisis and rebuild their country.
"Efforts are being exerted to make conditions available to
activate the Syrian-Syrian talks and I briefed President Erdogan on the
Russian-US joint statement about Syria,” President Putin said in a press
conference with President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi.
He affirmed that Moscow and Ankara have agreed to boost the efforts in order to make a progress under international supervision and preserve territorial integrity of Syria.
Erdogan, for his part, said that Astana meeting and the de-escalation zones agreement have helped decrease the intensity of violence in Syria.
