"If the European side is ready for serious work for resolution of regional problems, we are seriously ready to do the same," Zarif said.
The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, pointed to Iran's four-point peace plan for Yemen which was offered to the UN three years ago, and said, "We should prepare the grounds for ceasefire and inter-Yemeni dialogue to reach a political solution there."
Elsewhere in his remarks, commenting on the effect of the US policies regarding the implementation of the nuclear deal, Zarif said that Americans prevented the Europeans to meet their obligations.
He criticized the European sides of the nuclear deal for not fulfilling their commitments in the banking field.
At least 15,700 people have been killed since the onset of Saudi Arabia’s military campaign against Yemen in 2015. Much of the country's infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and factories, has been reduced to rubble due to the war.
The Saudi-led war has also triggered a deadly cholera epidemic across Yemen.
According to the World Health Organization’s latest tally, the cholera outbreak has killed 2,167 people since the end of April 2017 and is suspected to have infected 841,906.
