TEHRAN (Defapress) - Jeffrey Epstein, the Jewish financier and controversial American figure, had become a symbol of the nexus between wealth, power, and moral corruption due to his extensive involvement in sex trafficking networks, particularly the exploitation of underage girls and human trafficking. Leveraging his vast fortune, he owned luxurious properties, including the private island Little Saint James in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a mansion in Palm Beach, and apartments in New York and Paris, all equipped with surveillance cameras. According to police records and numerous testimonies, these cameras were used to record images and videos of the depraved and criminal acts of his powerful guests.

Epstein maintained close ties with politicians, financiers, and prominent figures, including Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew (son of the Queen of England), and Ehud Barak (former Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Israel). These connections, documented in leaked files and victim testimonies, reveal a vast network of influence and corruption. Epstein allegedly employed "honey trap" tactics to blackmail or control influential individuals. According to Ari Ben-Menashe, a former Mossad agent, Epstein and his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell collaborated with Israeli intelligence (Mossad) and used these recordings to advance political and financial interests.

In January 2024, a federal judge ordered the disclosure of a significant portion of court records, including the names of 153 individuals linked to Epstein’s sex trafficking case. The release comprised over 1,000 pages of testimonies and other documents. It must be emphasized that the mere mention of a name in these records does not necessarily indicate involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities. The documents include notable figures such as former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Britain’s Prince Andrew (who settled a case with Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims), magician David Copperfield, actor Kevin Spacey, former Vice President Al Gore, and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. This list underscores the breadth of Epstein’s connections among the highest echelons of the elite.

In July 2025, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) categorically stated that Jeffrey Epstein never possessed a "client list" implicating individuals in his criminal activities. They also confirmed that their extensive investigations had uncovered no new criminal evidence implicating uncharged third parties. This stance contradicted prior claims by Trump-appointed Attorney General Pam Bondi, who had promised the existence of such a list and the disclosure of "thousands of pages" and "truckloads" of evidence.

The DOJ further declared that additional document releases would not be "appropriate or justified," citing that a significant portion of the records had been sealed by the court to protect victims. Only a small fraction would have been made public had Epstein gone to trial. These contradictory statements emerged despite earlier DOJ promises of transparency. These actions not only helped shield the secrets of powerful figures but also fueled ongoing speculation about Epstein’s death. Many analysts believe Epstein’s alleged suicide, if real, was executed in a manner consistent with Mossad operatives to protect a broader network of corruption and influence.

Trump’s Insistence on Halting Epstein Document Releases

Notably, Donald Trump’s name appears in the disclosed records. Epstein’s "Black Book" contained multiple contact details for Trump, including office, home, and Mar-a-Lago addresses. Flight logs also show Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet at least seven times between 1993 and 1997, sometimes with family members. Additionally, Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s key victims, was recruited into his network at age 16 at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida estate. This suggests an early, albeit indirect, connection to Epstein’s environment.

Thus, Trump has multiple reasons to fear full disclosure of Epstein-related information. Surveillance footage from Epstein’s properties, allegedly containing evidence of high-profile individuals in illegal or unethical situations, per Ari Ben-Menashe and David Boies, could severely damage Trump’s political and personal credibility. These recordings, likely held by Epstein and Maxwell, would have served as powerful tools for blackmail or political control.

Moreover, Epstein’s ties to intelligence agencies, particularly Mossad, and his investments in Israeli defense-linked firms, such as Ehud Barak’s company Carbyne, highlight his deep connections to foreign intelligence networks. Disclosing these links could expose Trump to allegations of collusion with foreign entities, raising questions about their influence on his policies.

The Epstein case also exposes systemic corruption in U.S. political and economic structures, where wealth and power serve as tools for coercion. Full disclosure could reveal a vast web of illicit ties among politicians, financiers, and intelligence agencies, further eroding public trust in the American political system. For Trump, himself part of this system, such revelations could harm his standing, particularly among his conservative base, which expects transparency and anti-corruption efforts.

Araghchi’s Sarcasm at Trump

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, hinted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that Netanyahu might possess compromising material from the heart of the White House, dictating Trump’s decisions. This remark may allude to the Epstein case, as evidence suggests Epstein closely collaborated with Mossad. Such information could be leveraged to pressure U.S. politicians, including Trump.

If this hypothesis holds, the Epstein case is not merely a domestic scandal but part of an international political game where intelligence agencies exploit sensitive information to advance their agendas. This could explain some of Trump’s unexpected or controversial foreign policy decisions, particularly regarding Israel. The Epstein case is not just a symbol of systemic corruption in America but a key to understanding foreign influence at the highest levels of power in the White House, where leverage steers political decisions down a dark path.
