Massive Explosions in Syria Kill 100 People

Domestic media sources announced that heavy clashes took place last night between Druze forces and tribesmen affiliated with the terrorist regime of Jolani at Al-Thala airport.

The areas involved include Al-Thala, Hazm, Kanaker, and Ta’ra. It was also reported that until a few hours ago, the sound of shooting and massive explosions could be heard on the western axis of Sweida.

Elements affiliated with the Al-Jolani regime have also attacked from two main axes, Basr Al-Harir - Ta’ra and Umm Walad - Kanaker, but have been met with resistance from the residents of these areas.

It is reported that houses in the attacked villages have been looted and set on fire.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that the clashes, which began on Sunday morning, have left 100 people dead.

Earlier, Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, the spiritual leader of the Druze in Syria, reiterated his call for immediate and rapid international support for them, given the dangerous situation in the Druze areas and the ongoing clashes there.

Al-Hijri said: "We are against the entry of the General Security Service and the HTS forces into Sweida. Last night, they entered the administrative borders of this province under the pretext of supporting the people, but they bombed our residents in the villages. The General Security Service and the HTS were supporting the ideological groups with heavy weapons and drones."
