TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Tel Aviv municipality is still struggling to help residents of the city who lost their homes after the 12-day war with Iran, but still have no real shelter.
The Israel Hayom newspaper reported in this regard that the phenomenon is so widespread that the municipality was forced to launch a page on the Internet and ask people who have suffered losses in this regard to register on it and then find shelter for themselves through this method.
As part of this plan, the municipality is supposed to count and register all empty apartments in the city and, in this way, be able to allocate them to those whose homes have become uninhabitable as a result of the war.
Through this page, homeless people directly contact the owners of the empty properties, and then a contract is signed between the two parties directly.
The Tel Aviv municipality is trying to get owners of empty apartments to enter their information on this site in every possible way and then ask the affected people to choose the right apartment for them.
Tel Aviv Mayor, Ron Huldai, says: During the 12-day war, a large number of residents of this city were forced to evacuate their homes, various municipal teams have been mobilized to help the city's residents, they even participate in the evacuation of damaged houses, the municipal teams provide any kind of assistance.
In this regard, the Ma'ariv newspaper also reported on the unimaginable boom in the housing rental market in Tel Aviv and announced; the rising prices in this market are just the tip of the iceberg.
In today's issue, Monday, the Hebrew media outlet itself wrote, quoting a housing expert: "The war with Iran caused the supply on the market to decrease sharply. As soon as the war ended, between 3,000 and 4,000 rental apartments were removed from the market in a very short period of time. These apartments were particularly popular in very popular areas, while the sale price of housing has also increased significantly."
