Missile Self-Sufficiency: The Factor in Resisting America

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Studies show that the countries on the southern edge of the Persian Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, have accounted for the largest volume of weapons imports in the region and the world in recent years; weapons that have mainly included aircraft and interceptor missiles.

Of course, the Zionist regime also falls into this framework; because despite having large weapons factories, it is heavily dependent on American weapons factories in the field of fighter jets, related weapons, and air defense systems, and this has led this regime to be considered a major partner in arms contracts with the United States.

Although the Zionist regime procures most of its weapons from American factories, it also looks to some European countries, including Germany and Italy, so that Germany can perhaps be considered the regime's second-largest arms contract partner after the United States, because according to reports, the country has concluded 31 percent of its arms export contracts with the Zionist regime until last year.

This volume of contracts and imports of various types of weapons and ammunition is being sent to the region at a time when the Islamic Republic of Iran has the lowest level of arms imports in the world; partly due to the existing sanctions against our country and partly due to the shift to manufacturing indigenous weapons.

The eight-year experience of the Sacred Defense in the missile industry has encouraged the country's experts to take steps towards self-sufficiency; Therefore, if in the Second and Third Imposed Wars, and especially in the recent operations against the regional bases of the United States, we were able to resist the invaders of the country's waters and soil and inflict major blows, it is because of taking advantage of this experience.

In a situation where the country had lost its defense systems in the Second Imposed War, using indigenous defense systems such as Majid and MANPADs produced by the defense industries, about 40 advanced American MQ-9 reconnaissance and combat drones - each of which costs 30 million dollars - were shot down; while Iran was for years one of the largest importers of weapons in the region.

Therefore, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been confronting the largest producers and importers of modern weapons in the region and the world, while it had only accounted for 0.2 percent of regional weapons imports; But due to the high quality of missiles and suicide drones produced in the country, we were able to deliver effective blows to the American-Zionist aggressor enemy in the two recent Imposed Wars.
