Reverse Engineering of Captured U.S. Equipment and Hardware by IRGC Aerospace Forces
TEHRAN (Defapress) - The National Aerospace Park, which began its operations in 2020, has today become one of the premier centers showcasing the defense achievements of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a collection where real yet non-operational equipment is put on public display. Brigadier General Ali Belali, Head of the National Aerospace Park and Advisor to the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, discussed the latest achievements of this force in an interview with Defapress, the highlights of which follow.

The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stand fully prepared and on high alert, relying on 100% self-sufficiency and secure defense reserves guaranteed for years to come. The Advisor to the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force explicitly warned that should the enemy make any miscalculation, a severe, devastating, and crushing response awaits the aggressors, emphasizing that power originating from within can never be stopped.
A key axis of this interview was the continuation of the tradition of reverse engineering dating back to the era of the martyred Major General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam. Brigadier General Belali noted that a vast amount of equipment and gear captured from the enemy has reached the hands of defense industry youth, with domestic specialists actively reverse-engineering these capacities for maximum utilization. These captured remains, alongside the Khorramshahr missile, will soon be added to the exhibition.
The current equipment showcased at the National Aerospace Park across five domains, missile, drone, aerial operations, air defense, and space, trails roughly six years behind the armed forces' current confidential and high technologies (such as drones with over 35 hours of flight endurance and flight altitudes exceeding 30,000 feet). While visits for students, university groups, and military personnel require prior written coordination, the exhibition has welcomed the general public without prior arrangements for the third consecutive year during Aerospace Week starting November 7th, drawing overwhelming public turnout.
In the final section of the interview, Brigadier General Belali dismissed the rhetoric of U.S. and Zionist regime officials regarding the destruction of Iran's military might as false talk, rooted in the enemy's exhaustion. Citing historical remarks by Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader regarding the greatness and nationwide presence of people during the Sacred Defense and the rapid reconstruction of infrastructure, he stressed that Iran's security is never imported. Preserving national unity between the people and all pillars of the state remains the ultimate key to neutralizing enemy division plots and ensuring the country's rapid progress across scientific, athletic, and defense arenas.
