White House Dictator Has Become a Lame Duck
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Following the consecutive victories of the Iranian people and after nine months of steadfast resistance by the combatants in the Battle of Hormuz, the terrorist U.S. President and the criminal Republican Party, having accepted a severe and historic defeat, finally relinquished control of the U.S. Congress, comprising both the Senate and the House of Representatives, to the Democrats. This outcome reduces Donald Trump to a "lame duck" within the U.S. political structure.

This significant and historic victory, coinciding with the blessed day of November 4th (Aban 13th) and the takeover of the U.S. Embassy by the Students, once again showcased Iran’s grandeur and its exceptional capability to dictate the agenda of U.S. domestic politics. It revived the memory of Jimmy Carter's ousting by the decisive decree of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), a phenomenon known in U.S. political literature as the "October Surprise." In effect, while the enemy failed to alter Iran's political structure, Iran succeeded in transforming the composition of the enemy's Congress.
The Democrats lost control of the Senate two years ago, when American voters returned Trump to the White House and handed his allies a majority of 53 seats. Following that election, a Democratic return to the Senate seemed unlikely in the near future. However, conditions gradually shifted in favor of the Democrats. Amidst this, the defeat of the terrorist U.S. military in Iran’s regional war, which led to the complete conquest of the Strait of Hormuz by the Iranian Armed Forces, triggered disruptions in the supply chain of energy and essential goods worldwide. Ultimately, rising prices of gasoline, diesel, and food in the United States became the primary catalyst for public discontent and the plummeting popularity of Donald Trump.
The Democrats owe their control of the Senate to victories in states where they had suffered defeats for decades. For instance, Kansas had not sent a single Democratic senator to the Senate since 1932, and Texas since 1988. In South Carolina, 38 years had passed since a Democratic candidate last won a Senate election. This illustrates the true significance and depth of Iran's intervention in U.S. domestic politics.
Simultaneously, Trump’s interference in the Republican primaries yielded counterproductive and disastrous results. He heavily cracked down on North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis due to his opposition, ultimately forcing Tillis into retirement. Consequently, Roy Cooper, the former governor and Democratic nominee, easily won the race to succeed him.
Trump also backed Texas's infamous Attorney General Ken Paxton, who faced numerous scandals, against the state's veteran Republican Senator John Cornyn. This endorsement led to Cornyn's defeat in the primaries, creating a prime opportunity for the Democrats to capture one of the Republicans' most crucial strongholds in America.
Following the sudden death of South Carolina’s anti-Iranian Senator Lindsey Graham, Trump endorsed the candidacy of his sister, Darlene Graham, for a full Senate term, which ultimately resulted in her defeat.
By taking control of the Senate, the Democrats will be positioned to reject the Trump administration's bills and veto its cabinet and federal judicial appointments. Chuck Schumer, the Democratic minority leader in the Senate, stated in Washington, D.C.: "Wow! Wow! Against all odds, we Democrats have taken control of the Senate. We have five words for the American people: Happy days are here again."
Despite this major victory, it must be noted that decisions regarding initiating, continuing, or ending a war in the West Asian region, especially with a country like Iran, transcend the authority of the U.S. administration and its legislative bodies. Such decisions are made directly by the corrupt and criminal ruling elite of the United States and are merely communicated to official figures in the political storefront for implementation. Trump's heavy and humiliating defeat is a great victory for Iran that paves the way for even greater triumphs, but it does not mean the end of the war. The war continues, with the vital difference that Iran's position vis-à-vis the lame duck in the White House has been significantly strengthened.
