MI6 and the UK Navy and Air Force Designated as Terrorist Entities

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has stated Iran’s reciprocal measures in response to the UK government's illegal and hostile actions.

The text of the Foreign Ministry’s statement concerning Iran’s reciprocal measures in response to the illegal and hostile actions of the UK government is as follows:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning the anti-Iranian policies and actions of the UK government, which violate the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, particularly the principle of respect for national sovereignty and the prohibition of recourse to illegal measures against other states, emphasizes the determination of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to take the necessary measures to safeguard the security and national interests of Iran.

Accordingly, relying on the resolution of the Supreme National Security Council of the country and in response to the hostile actions of the UK government over the past year against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including participation in the imposed American-Zionist war against Iran through providing military and logistical bases and facilities located within the jurisdiction of the UK, as well as the decision of that government to place the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps under the State Threats Act 2026 on July 13, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announces the following:

(A) As of the publication of this statement on November 1, 2026, the Secret Intelligence Service of the UK (MI6), pursuant to Note 2 of Article 1 of the Law on Intensifying the Punishment for Espionage and Cooperation with the Zionist Regime and Hostile States Against National Security and Interests, is designated as a hostile group, and the provisions of this law shall apply to this UK entity.

(B) As of the publication of this statement on November 1, 2026, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force of the UK shall fall under the Law on Countermeasures Against the Designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a Terrorist Organization by the United States of America, and accordingly, these two entities are recognized as terrorist organizations.

It is obvious that these measures have been taken in accordance with international law standards and within the framework of the principle of reciprocity, and the responsibility for their consequences lies with the UK government.
