TEHRAN (Defapress) - Brigadier General Abdulsalam Sufyan, Deputy Head of the Technical Office at the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, spoke to an international correspondent from Defapress regarding developments on the ground in Yemen and the presence of foreign military personnel. He stated: "We consider any presence of Pakistani military personnel in enemy barracks or headquarters within Yemeni territory to be a direct act of aggression. Without hesitation, we will treat them exactly as we treat the Saudi criminals. Even the world’s most advanced air defense systems, such as THAAD and Patriot, failed to provide security for Saudi Arabia; what difference, then, could a few Pakistani advisors or systems possibly make to this balance? While we distinguish between the Muslim nation of Pakistan and certain politicians, we issue a serious warning against any form of military intervention."

Regarding the development of Yemen’s military capabilities, the Deputy Head of the Technical Office noted: "Had we not managed to develop military industries and upgrade our weaponry over these years, despite a severe blockade, we would have been crushed under the wheels of this aggression and siege. We have achieved remarkable progress. Yes, we have drawn upon Iran’s experiences, engaging in the exchange of technology and the transfer of knowledge,b which is entirely natural. Why is the Saudi regime permitted to purchase hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of weaponry from the United States, France, and the UK, and to open its doors to the West and Western experts, while our cooperation with a fellow Muslim, brotherly nation is deemed forbidden?"

Addressing the relationship between Sana'a and Tehran, he added: "The existence of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and us is not something we wish to conceal or feel embarrassed to acknowledge. On the contrary, Iran is a Muslim nation, and we take pride in a brotherly relationship rooted in the Quranic principle of 'cooperation in righteousness and piety'." Our relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran is one rooted in synergy and coordination in the face of the grave dangers surrounding the entire Islamic Ummah. Currently, a joint Zionist-American project is underway, aiming to engulf the region in an era of Zionist hegemony and re-engineer it to the benefit of Israel.

Elsewhere in the interview, Sufyan rejected accusations of subservience, stating: "Labels such as 'mercenary' or 'being a proxy for Iran' are the standard slurs used by all despots, a narrative consistently propagated by the aggressor coalition. We are an authentic Yemeni uprising and movement, representing the deep-rooted historical identity of the Yemeni nation and the pure, original Islam of Prophet Muhammad."

He further noted: "By their own admission, the Saudi regime has always viewed Yemen as its 'backyard.' They have sought to weaken and destabilize the country, fomenting internal conflict to strip us of our independence. However, with the September 21st Revolution, the Yemeni people chose to take control of their own destiny. The Saudis assembled a coalition of 17 nations to impose their will, yet the people of Yemen resolved never to submit to foreign tutelage or guardianship. The atrocities committed by the Saudi-led coalition, through famine, blockades, and the killing of hundreds of thousands of people in Yemen, are precisely the same horrors that the Zionists are perpetrating today in Gaza and Rafah."

Addressing the various facets of Saudi Arabia's war crimes, he dismissed allegations regarding threats to Islamic holy sites as mere media-driven propaganda, emphasizing the necessity of distinguishing between sacred sites and the political decisions made by Riyadh. While acknowledging defense cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he also declared the presence of foreign forces in Yemen and Saudi Arabia to be a "red line" for Sana'a.

At the outset of his remarks, a senior official from the Yemeni Ministry of Defense stated: "The claim that we have targeted the Two Holy Sanctuaries is one of the most egregious lies ever fabricated against Yemen. As the Noble Prophet (PBUH) testified: 'Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.' Yemen has played a fundamental role in the defense of Islam; its people are the very Ansar who welcomed the Prophet of God (PBUH), carried the banner of Islam, and spearheaded the Islamic conquests. Such a people can't pose a threat to sacred sites. On the contrary, we consider it our duty to safeguard these holy places, with the lives and blood of our children, and with everything at our disposal."
