We Are Prepared to Respond to Any Threat
TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with the Defapress correspondent, General Alireza Sheikh, Executive Deputy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, addressed the enemy’s threat to use the "Mother of All Bombs" in a potential conflict with Iran. He remarked: "The 'father and mother' of all bombs are the Iranian nation itself; the people will respond to the enemy’s excessive demands. Therefore, there is absolutely no cause for concern in this regard."

General Sheikh added: "Such statements are merely part of the enemy’s propaganda tools, intended to instill fear and coerce the Iranian nation into abandoning its positions. However, the Iranian people continue on their path with strength and resolve."
Noting that the Iranian nation can exert an influence on the enemy’s thinking and strategies that far exceeds the enemy’s own calculations, the Executive Deputy of the Army stated: "Life goes on for the people, and as is evident, the country’s development continues."
Emphasizing that the enemy must realize it is facing a united and steadfast nation, he said: "The enemy cannot achieve its objectives against such a nation; after all, a civilization cannot be destroyed by a bomb."
Pointing to the historical antiquity of Iranian civilization, General Sheikh noted: "The civilization of the Iranian nation is rooted in a long history; compared to this vast background, the United States represents only a small fraction of world history."
The Army Stands Ready, Hands on the Trigger, to Respond to Any Threat
Pointing to the readiness of the Armed Forces to counter potential threats, the Executive Deputy of the Army emphasized: "What is crucial is the preparedness of the Army and other Armed Forces to respond to threats. The necessary preparations have been made in this regard, and today, the Army stands ready, hands on the trigger, to respond to any threat."
Regarding the status of equipment upgrades within the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the "Ramadan War," he added: "Thank God, the Army’s equipment has been modernized, and the necessary readiness to respond, commensurate with the level of threats, has been established."
