Details of the US Attack on Qeshm: IRGC Downs Advanced American MQ-9 Drone

TEHRAN (Defapress) - US officials have confirmed an attack on Qeshm Island carried out by their terrorist army.

Citing a US official, NewsNation reported: "During the attacks on Qeshm Island, Iranian radar facilities and missile launch sites were targeted."

The source claimed: "We carried out this attack in response to the Iranians' use of surface-to-air missiles against US assets."

Moments later, Axios reported that Iranian forces fired a missile at a US warplane on Monday evening. In self-defense, the US fighter jet subsequently targeted the missile launch site.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that an advanced MQ-9 drone, the 55th of its kind, was intercepted and destroyed in the skies east of the Strait of Hormuz by a modern air defense system belonging to the IRGC Aerospace Force, operating under the country's integrated air defense network.

Additionally, two American MQM-170 reconnaissance drones were grounded south of Qeshm Island through the use of advanced electronic warfare systems operated by the IRGC Aerospace Force. Including these two, the total number of such American drones captured by elite IRGC officers has reached four. Thus, the aggressive American enemy once again failed to achieve its intended objectives through the deployment of these drones; and, by the grace of God, yet another instance of defeat and failure has been added to the dark record of the terrorist CENTCOM commander, Brad Cooper.
