Syria, Iraq Enter Talks to Reopen Border for First Time in YearsThe two ministers reportedly discussed enhancing the existing cooperation between the two countries in counter-terrorism efforts, and exchanged viewpoints regarding regional and international issues and developments, massdar news reported.

The two foreign dignitaries also entered talks about reopening the vital border-crossings between the two countries.

With the Golan Heights and Nassib crossings reopening on Monday, the Syrian government is pushing to reopen the highway between Damascus and Baghdad.
