Top General Mocks US, Israeli Intelligence Boast after Iran Unveils Missile CityIn comments on Sunday, Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said the important point about unveiling of the IRGC’s new underground missile plant was that the claims by “the rulers of the Zionist regime and some Americans and the espionage services of the world that they are informed about every development in Iran” and their boast that they know the location and number of the Iranian missiles are empty.

The top commander said the enemies’ claims about having information about everything is “wrong”, noting that they are unaware of the Iranian facilities “ten times” more than what was recently unveiled.

On February 8, the IRGC Aerospace Division unveiled an underground plant manufacturing precision ballistic missiles.

Elsewhere in his comments, Major General Baqeri said Iran has always helped the neighbors at their request in combatting foreign invasion and terrorist threats, noting that Iran’s assistance to Iraq and Syria in terms of advisory help and cooperation helped them restore security.

“We will stay in their countries (Iraq and Syria) as long as they want, and will keep providing them with help, and will leave those countries whenever they do not want,” he added.

The general further denounced the foreign attempts to restrict Iran’s defense power, stressing, “Like all other nations, the Islamic Republic has its own defense organization and equipment to protect its territory, waters, people and interests, and we will not ask permission from anybody for this issue.”

“Our defense capabilities, including the missile power, will be never subject to negotiations and discussion with any party,” Major General Baqeri underscored, urging the European parties to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal to honor their commitments and implement the financial mechanism they have promised to set up to ease trade with Iran under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has reiterated on various occasions that Iran’s defense capabilities and power are not subject to negotiations.

“We will have no bargaining and dealing with the enemy over the country’s means of defense and over whatever provides or supports the national power,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in October 2017.

The adversaries are opposed to the enhancement of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s power in the region and beyond, because such power constitutes the “strategic depth of the Islamic Establishment,” the Leader had explained.
