Araghchi's Explanation After the Meeting with Putin

TEHRAN (Defapress) - After the meeting with the Russian President, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said: I had a very good meeting with Mr. Putin, the President of Russia, and we talked in detail about the events taking place.

He clarified: Russia has been a serious member of the JCPOA and our negotiations with the 5+1. This country has always been with us and by our side, and we have always cooperated and consulted with this country. In this situation, it was necessary to have closer consultations with our friends in Russia.

Araghchi stated: We talked in detail about what is happening now in the meeting with Mr. Putin.

The consequences (of these aggressive actions) for the region, the international community and the non-proliferation system are among our common concerns, and Russia is also concerned about all of this.

He said: Russia's positions have been very good and firm so far. They are working in the Security Council to make this council move. Although it will face the American veto, but it is necessary for the rest of the council members to show their words against aggression to the whole world.
