TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defa Press, Jafar Qanadbashi, an expert on West Asian issues, stated: “Syria is a place where several regional and international policies converge, which has complicated the issues in this country.”
Qanadbashi stated that we are facing several currents in Syria and added: “If we look inside Syria and examine the forces and currents inside it, we will face several currents. What is happening in Syria originates from regional and global policies.”
The expert on West Asian issues continued: One side is the US. The Americans, through Turkey, which is a NATO member, are interested in destabilizing the areas where Russia is present in Syria or is active in those areas. The other side belongs to the Zionist regime. This regime is very interested in destabilizing Syria as a circle of resistance and, on the other hand, preparing the ground for the end of Iran's regional presence in Syria.
He noted that another current is the colonial concerns of England and France. These countries are concerned that the civilizational movement that has begun in the West Asian region will succeed and put an end to Western colonialism in this region forever.
Qanadbashi added: The other side is Arab countries of the region that are caught in dictatorships. These countries are also concerned about strengthening the resistance faction; therefore, they provide the cost of carrying out these terrorist movements.
The expert on West Asian affairs noted: Considering all the issues mentioned above if we look inside Syria, we will encounter a set of regional and international currents in addition to internal currents that provided the ground that has become apparent today in the form of the occupation of Aleppo.
He stated: "But the reality is that this experience of extremism and the actions of extremist groups is a failed experience. In fact, they failed in the past and today, because their movement relies on foreign aid and does not have the necessary legitimacy domestically. Therefore, due to their cooperation with "Israel" and "America", they will naturally not be able to achieve success."
Qanadbashi emphasized that the fact that these operations of the movements of extremist groups, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and groups aligned with it, began at the same time as the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, indicates that they are aligned with the occupier regime and, in line with the continuation of this regime's movements, intend to continue the Zionist regime's movements in weakening the resistance.
In the end, the expert on West Asian issues noted that although the Resistance Front has lost Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and many Resistance leaders, it is in a strong position and can, with the cooperation that exists between its various parts, prevail against these movements and retake the city of Aleppo and the areas that the terrorists took.
