TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Israel News 24 acknowledged that Hezbollah's power in Lebanon is still intact and that the efforts of Thomas Barrack, the US envoy to Syria and Lebanon, to disarm the party, have not been successful.

Hezbollah's Power in Lebanon Is Still Intact

The report states that Lebanon does not give any guarantees regarding Hezbollah's disarmament. Barak also said in his speech yesterday that the US has no intention of sanctioning Lebanon. The Americans and the Lebanese know that the country's government is not capable of disarming Hezbollah. Tel Aviv's moves in Syria and Lebanon have not led to the creation of a new political order in the region.

Yesterday, Thomas Barrack, the US envoy to Syria and Lebanon, said in his speech in Beirut: The ceasefire agreement in Lebanon has not been successful.

Regarding Hezbollah's weapons, he said: "Lebanon's disarmament is an internal issue. If Hezbollah does not disarm, there will be no direct consequences or threats, but this will be disappointing. We cannot give guarantees because we cannot force Israel to do anything! We are not currently thinking of sanctioning Lebanese officials."

This is while Barrack had said a few days ago in a threatening tone: "The patience of the US President in this regard is limited!"

He added that if the Lebanese government and parliament agree with Hezbollah on the disarmament of the resistance's heavy weapons, it would be a good achievement. Weapons that can target the Zionist regime must be abandoned!
