S-300 plays important role against Israel aggression

At the end of his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said in a special interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) at the United Nations that the air defense system undoubtedly plays an important role in protecting Syria from Israeli aggression. Hence, the missiles will greatly contribute to the security of the region.

He went on to say deploying S-300 missile system to Syria is a message from Moscow to the Zionist regime as Israel shot down the Russian aircraft and killed 15 Russian military officers on board.

Iranian and Syrian foreign ministers, who were in New York to attend the 73rd UN General Assembly Session, discussed regional developments, Syria, and bilateral relation as well.
