Taliban Attack Large Afghan Reinforcement Convoy in Northern Faryab Province
TEHRAN (defapress) - Taliban militants attacked a large reinforcement convoy in the Sherin Tagab district of the northern Faryab province, killing 10 soldiers.
The ambush has also left at least five others wounded, while two soldiers were taken hostage, a local council member said on Friday.
The militants also set fire to at least 20 armored vehicles, according to the officials, Qatar-Tribune reported.

Faryab is among the relatively provinces in North of Afghanistan where Taliban are actively operating in some of its districts and often attempt to attack government and security institutions and forces.
