Araqchi will represent Iran at the 2019 Moscow Nonproliferation Conference (The 2019 MNC) and a special panel on Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Starting on Thursday, the conference will be held for three days with the participation of 40 countries and 250 international figures.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, Secretary-General of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Helga Schmid, and Director-General of the Chinese Foreign Ministry's Arms Control and Disarmament Department Fu Cong plan to address the conference.
The conference will also be attended by representatives of various international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA).
Issues such as arms control between Russia and the United States - various aspects of the JCPOA, Middle East tensions, failure to develop nuclear disarmament and other related issues will also be discussed.
