In an address to a meeting of clerics in Qom on Thursday, Major General Hossein Salami said the enemies have received heavy blows from the Islamic Republic.
All strategies of the enemies of Iran have failed, including the strategy of sanctions, the commander said, adding that Iran is on the verge of becoming an oil-free economy.
He further emphasized that the Islamic Republic should turn into an “effective, successful and powerful model”, calling for the spread of the Islamic Revolution in other countries.
The Islamic Revolution’s clout has reached beyond the borders of Iran, and a united Muslim Ummah (community) is being shaped, the general said, stressing that Iran has gained considerable power in spite of the sanctions and blockade.
Major General Salami further reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting the people of Yemen, Palestine and Syria, saying the Zionist regime of Israel that once had plans to conquer large parts of Islamic territories is now kept inside a swathe of land surrounded by tall concrete walls.
Last month, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for the elimination of the fake Zionist regime of Israel, stressing that it would not translate into the elimination of Jewish people and must result in the election of a government by the people of Palestine.
The elimination of Israel means the elimination of the Zionist regime that has been imposed on Palestine, the Leader noted, adding, “People of Palestine, either Muslims or Christians or Jews, who are the real owners of that territory, must be able to elect their government by themselves, throw out the aliens and thugs like Netanyahu, and govern their own country, and this will happen, of course.”
