TEHRAN (Defapress) - The heads of the foreign intelligence agencies in the United States and the United Kingdom have expressed their unwavering dedication to achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.
In a recent editorial featured in the Financial Times, CIA Director William Burns and MI6 Chief Richard Moore emphasized the relentless efforts made through their intelligence networks to advocate for moderation and de-escalation in Gaza.
They underscored the vital importance of a ceasefire as a means to alleviate the suffering and tragic loss of life among Palestinian civilians, as well as to secure the release of hostages held captive for almost a year.
Despite both the US and the UK being strong allies of Israel, London's decision to temporarily halt a limited number of arms exports to Israel stands out as a divergence from Washington's stance. This move comes in light of concerns regarding potential violations of international law amidst Israel's conflict with Gaza.
