TEHRAN (Defapress) - Axios has reported that six House Republicans have currently endorsed a bipartisan letter committing to honor the certified victor of the 2024 presidential election.

US election under the shadow of chaos

Republicans signed the letter in a way that their nominee, Trump, still refused to accept the result of the previous presidential election. The individuals who have endorsed the one-page letter commit to "protecting the fairness and integrity of America" by "recognizing the election winner certified (on January 6) as the rightful President of the United States.

They are trying to prevent any further chaos that Trump's fans may commit. Like what they did at Capitol Hall which was under the support of the previous president.

Ignoring election results is also visible in the poll that CNN gathered. As CNN reported, the results of the poll displayed a large confidence gap between voters likely to vote for Harris compared to those likely to vote for Trump. An average of 71% of Harris supporters across the six states - Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Wisconsin - are very confident in their state's electoral process, while an average of only 15% of Trump supporters said the same.

It means that if Kamila Harris won the election, most Trump supporters may count that as fraud in the election and they won't accept the result of the electoral votes. Republicans took a risky step by choosing Trump as their nominee, and now they are trying to control and manage the future consequences of the election but it seems that they failed in the first steps because their nominee does not fall in the line of the US rules. Also, the results and numbers show that the US community is on the edge of civil war and it is fair to say that the US is in the amid of a democratic challenge.
