EU foreign ministers convene for urgent meeting on Lebanon

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In response to the escalating situation in Lebanon, where Israel continues its military operations, EU foreign ministers are set to engage in emergency discussions today. 

A spokesperson indicated that Josep Borrell, the bloc’s foreign policy chief, will convene a video meeting at 15:00 GMT to evaluate the EU's approach to the recent developments in Lebanon. 

Thus far, the 27-nation bloc has tried to speak in one voice to curb the violence in the region over the past year.
