TEHRAN (Defapress) - Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, plans on Wednesday night to meet and talk with Iranian officials and to visit Tehran on his first trip in the time of Iran's 14th government.
Based on that, the deputy of legal and international affairs of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Kazem Gharib Abadi, announced that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday night for a two-day visit to Iran.
He added: This trip is carried out in continuation of the interactions between Iran and the IAEA, in line with the joint statement of the two sides on March 4, 2023.
Gharib Abadi continued that Mr. Grossi will meet with the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization.
He pointed out that Iran is based on the continuation of cooperation with the Agency within the framework of its safeguard obligations unless some countries with political motives seek to damage the efforts of the Director General and the forward relations between Iran and the IAEA.
Grossi's last trip was made in May of this year and during the 13th government.
